About the Affiliates
The Lake County Soil & Water Conservation District appreciates the support we receive from the many individuals and businesses who help the SWCD through their Affiliate memberships. Your support goes directly to the future of conservation.
The SWCD is partially funded through the County Council and the State. We receive a state grant from our legislators. In 2023, the SWCD had 89 affiliate members of which 23 were Corporate members and 21 were Supporting members. We want to thank you all for your support.
Your affiliate dues support classroom program purchases of materials and supplies for our educational programs, annual art project materials, and many other educational supplies.
Your contribution provides the monetary awards for the Speech Contest, Poster Contest, Photo Contest, and T-shirt Design Contest. It supports sponsorships for the Envirothon Contest, 4-H Soil & Water Grand Champion and Reserve Champion awards, Project Learning Tree, Project WILD, and Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) Workshops, field days and tours. The memberships are available for $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00.
