About the Affiliates
The Lake County Soil & Water Conservation District appreciates the support we receive from the many individuals and businesses who help the SWCD through their Affiliate memberships. Your support goes directly to the future of conservation.
The SWCD is partially funded through the County Council and the State. We receive a state grant from our legislators. In 2026, the SWCD had 64 affiliate members of which 16 were Corporate members and 16 were Supporting members. We want to thank you all for your support.
Your affiliate dues support classroom program purchases of materials and supplies for our educational programs.
Your contribution provides the monetary awards for the Poster Contest, Photo Contest, and T-shirt Design Contest. It supports sponsorships for the 4-H Soil & Water Grand Champion and Reserve Champion awards, Kankakee River Days, field days and tours. The memberships are available for $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00.
